6 Week Parenting Young Children Course

Do you experience some of the following issues with your child?

  • My three year old refuses to brush her teeth.
  • My two year old writes on the wall.
  • How do I get my four year old to go to sleep?  He keeps climbing out of his bed.
  • The only thing my child listens to is a smack.
  • Both of my children are picky eaters. Must I make different dishes for all of us?
  • Every time I talk on the phone, my two and a half year old starts screaming at her sibling.
  • Getting my son organised in the morning is a nightmare.

These are common issues that parents of young children experience. Renee Mill has been working with parents for many years, she knows what works and what parents find useful. Her methods are tried, tested and easy to apply!

Renee has developed a unique parenting workshop for children under the age of ten. It runs for 2 hours, every week for 6 weeks and works best if couples attend together.

Every week, Renee focuses on  a different aspect of parenting that will enhance your relationship with your child, improve your ability to work with your spouse, increase your child’s self esteem and give you tools to discipline and gain cooperation with the least amount of anger or tears.

Session 1. Self Esteem of the Parent

Yes, you read it correctly. In this session, Renee will enlighten you as to why having good self esteem is important for you the parent, as well as your children.  She will also give you lots of self esteem boosters that you can implement right away.

Session 2. Team Work

Working as a team is vital for the well-being of your children as well as helpful in getting them to cooperate. Therefore in this session, Renee teaches couples how to work together as a team – despite their many differences.

Session 3. Happy Homes

Session 3 is dedicated to teaching parents how to create a home that is non-chaotic, calm and positive. When you do this, you will enable positive psychological growth in your children.

Session 4. Self Esteem

From session 4, the focus becomes more directly on your child. Knowing how to build your child’s self esteem will not only help him succeed, but will also contribute to pleasing behaviour.

Session 5. Play and Do

Session 5 is all about effective ways of getting your child to cooperate with excellent communication, fun activities, role playing and taking action.

6. Collaborative Problem Solving CPS

Session 6 discusses Collaborative Problem Solving. CPS is a more compassionate, productive, effective approach to understanding and helping behaviourally challenging kids. Instead of imposing adult will and intensively utilising reward and punishment, you will learn how to work together with your child to solve the problems that set them in motion.

You will also receive a copy of Renee’s book: Parenting Without Anger.

Here is what one parent had to say about Renee’s course:

“I totally enjoyed this course, I feel more confident as a parent, and know that my husband and I are on the right track. I learnt that it’s okay to say “NO” and that we should constantly use positive reinforcement.” Danielle
