Donna Alderson

Psychotherapist/Mediator

Donna is a Psychotherapist/Counsellor who has a Bachelor degree in Counselling and Human Change. Donna is passionate about working with women and couples, empowering them on a pathway to change. She assists clients to gain insights, negotiate the changes they want to see in their lives, and re-author their futures.

Donna is accredited with the Attorney General’s Department as a Mediator/Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She has worked positively with families in crisis for 16 years, to develop effective and sustainable parenting plans, reducing conflict within the family, and most importantly, hearing the child’s voice.

Donna works as a Parenting Support Coordinator. If changes occur once agreements have been reached, often when parents re-partner, there may need to be more conversation around realistic parenting agreements, taking the new changes into account. Donna excels at cutting to the chase and helping to create a realistic plan. Above all, Donna focuses on providing support to her clients.

Donna facilitates groups for women looking for choice and change, parenting after separation and working with children going home to home. Donna practices mindfulness daily, supporting her practice working in sometimes difficult situations.
