Hypnotherapy Session Outline and Fees

  1. Anxiety and stress:

Are you living with heightened anxiety? We need a certain amount of anxiety to keep us safe, well and protected but do you have an excess amount of anxiety that you’d like to downgrade?

Below is a generalised description of the sessions for anxiety and stress hypnotherapy. Since your sessions will be tailored to your exact needs, they may differ slightly from the below descriptions.

Each session consists of a discussion followed by the hypnotic process.

  • Session 1: Consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you), an explanation of hypnosis and then the actual hypnosis process. I call this session an Emotional Detox as the hypnosis will be focused on your subconscious mind letting go of unwanted thoughts, feelings, memories, sensations, or images and changing your attachment to past events. This is the first part of the release and heal process which lays a beautiful foundation onto which we can build further.
  • Session 2: Will be focused on the part of your subconscious mind running the anxiety “protective mechanism”. During the hypnosis, I will communicate with that part of you to give it a new job that keeps you safe, well and protected that doesn’t involve you experiencing irrational heightened anxiety. Once that part of you is no longer running that program you will be able to release that anxiety. This session is based on the works of Paul Federn.
  • Session 3: Gives us an opportunity to focus on specific areas that need addressing such as letting go of past relationships, past traumas, and toxic people; setting yourself free from burdens and shackles holding you back; or anything specific to your situation that needs resolving. This session is based on the works of John Gotelee’s, The Island.
  • Session 4: We will work on building your psychological boundaries. This will enable you to strengthen your ego, build confidence, create balance, let go of unhelpful beliefs and other people’s opinions, and reset your locus of control. Once you have let go of these negative influences you will be able to replace them with things you can control and influence, such as how you behave, new and better choices, knowledge, and many others. The original concept of this technique was taught by Maurice Sterndale (one of the great unsung heroes of client-based hypnosis).
  • Session 5: Focuses on taking the first steps towards the new you, removing masks and becoming the person you truly are and envisioning your ideal future self. This gives you the opportunity to experience the emotions associated with being that person. As a result, you will have a greater belief that you can achieve this outcome.
  • Session 6: Learning the technique of self-hypnosis. In the final session, I will teach you Self-Hypnosis so that you will be able to make changes by self-generated positive suggestions. This is a very powerful process that you can include in your everyday life so that moving forward you will be able to help yourself achieve the goals you are striving for. The concept of Self-Hypnosis dates back to 19th century France to a pharmacist called Emile Coué.

 

  1. Eliminate Exam anxiety:

Session 1: Consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you and your situation), a discussion on anxiety, an explanation of hypnosis followed by the actual hypnosis process.

This hypnosis session will be focused on the part of your subconscious mind running the anxiety “protective mechanism”. During the hypnosis, I will communicate with that part of you to give it a new job that keeps you safe, well and protected that doesn’t involve you experiencing irrational heightened exam anxiety. Once that part of you is no longer running that program you will be able to release that anxiety. This session is based on the works of Paul Federn.

Tool: You will be guided to instal an anchor to access a state of calm whenever you need it.

Session 2: Is based on the Rewind Technique by Joseph Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell of the Human Givens Institute.

It is based on the presupposition that there is an emotional pattern made up of pictures, sounds and feelings. It makes changes to the elements of that pattern and gets a different result. The Rewind works by texturing the thought of the exam with multiple layers of other thoughts that change the feel of the exam.  The other thoughts transform it to the point that it will be impossible to have the old response.

Session 3: In this session, we will anchor into your subconscious mind a state of calm and focus that you’ll be able to access when needed. You will visualise yourself writing the exam, every answer flowing out easily and confidently while feeling calm and relaxed.

Addition: A hypnosis audio to listen to at nighttime to release any negative emotions from the day so that you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep, waking up feeling refreshed and revitalised.

 

  1. Improve sleep:

Session 1: Consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you and your situation), an explanation of hypnosis followed by the actual hypnosis process.

I call this session an Emotional Detox as the hypnosis will be focused on your subconscious mind letting go of unwanted thoughts, feelings, memories, sensations, or images and changing your attachment to past events. This is the first part of the release and heal process which lays a beautiful foundation onto which we can build further.

Session 2:  This hypnosis session will be focused on the part of your subconscious mind running the “sleep behaviour”. During the hypnosis, I will communicate with that part of you to give it a new job that keeps you safe, well and protected. Once that part of you is no longer running that program you will be able to sleep peacefully. This session is based on the works of Paul Federn.

Session 3: This session incorporates direct and indirect suggestions to your subconscious mind for improved sleep. These suggestions are based on the works of Milton Erickson.

Addition: A hypnosis audio to listen to at nighttime to release any negative emotions from the day so that you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep, waking up feeling refreshed and revitalised.

 

  1. Quit Alcohol:

Session 1: consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you and your situation), an explanation of hypnosis and then the actual hypnosis process.

I call this session an Emotional Detox as the hypnosis will be focused on your subconscious mind letting go of unwanted thoughts, feelings, memories, sensations, or images and changing your attachment to past events. This is the first part of the release and heal process which lays a beautiful foundation onto which we can build further.

Session 2: Consists of a discussion on alcohol uncovering your triggers and drinking behaviours and we will break any limiting beliefs that support the drinking habit.

Then we do a full hypnosis session to release those triggers and patterns – that deep-seated habit.  This session also includes visualisations of a future non- alcohol you and direct suggestions to your subconscious mind.

Tool: You will be guided to install an anchor to access a state of calm whenever you need it.

Session 3: We will work with that part of your subconscious mind that has been running the drinking behaviour and we will give that part a different job that will keep you safe, well and protected without the need for alcohol.

Session 4: In the final session, I will teach you Self-Hypnosis so that you will be able to make changes by self-generated positive suggestions. This is a very powerful process that you can include in your everyday life so that moving forward you will be able to help yourself achieve the goals you are striving for. The concept of Self-Hypnosis dates back to 19th century France to a pharmacist called Emile Coué who taught subjects to engage in hypnosis on their own, using their own suggestions and imaginations.

 

  1. Quit Smoking:

Session 1: Consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you and your situation), a discussion on smoking uncovering your triggers and smoking patterns and we will dispel any limiting beliefs that support the smoking habit, an explanation of hypnosis.

Then we do a full hypnosis session to release those triggers and patterns – that deep seated habit.  We will also work with that part of your subconscious mind that wants to continue even though you want to quit. We will give that part a different job.

Once those things are released and you eliminate the habit, the nicotine is no longer an issue, and you walk out a ‘non-smoker’

Session 2: This session will reinforce the initial work. And will address any challenges that you are experiencing.

 

  1. Eliminate a Phobia:

Session 1: Consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you and your situation), a discussion on phobias and how they start, an explanation of hypnosis followed by the actual hypnosis process.

This hypnosis session will be focused on the part of your subconscious mind running the phobia. During the hypnosis, I will communicate with that part of you to give it a new job that keeps you safe, well and protected that doesn’t involve you experiencing that irrational heightened anxiety to the “phobia thing”. Once that part of you is no longer running that program you will be able to release that anxiety. This session is based on the works of Paul Federn.

Tool: You will be guided to install an anchor to access a state of calm whenever you need it.

  1. Break a bad habit (e.g., nail-biting):

Session 1: Consists of an intake (so that I can get to know a bit about you and your situation), a discussion about habits, we will break any limiting beliefs that support the habit, an explanation of hypnosis followed by the actual hypnosis process.

The hypnosis session will be focused on the part of your subconscious mind running the habit. During the hypnosis, I will communicate with that part of you to give it a new job that keeps you safe, well and protected that doesn’t involve you practising the habit. Once that part of you is no longer running that program you will release that habit. This session is based on the works of Paul Federn.

Session 2: We will uncover your triggers and patterns driving the habit. The hypnosis portion will focus on direct and indirect suggestions to your subconscious mind to release the triggers and patterns enabling you to break the connection to the habit.

Addition: This session will be recorded so that you can listen to it daily for two weeks to further embed the suggestions into your subconscious mind.

 

Fee Schedule:

  1. Anxiety and Stress: 6 sessions $1520. The initial session is for 2 hours – $320, subsequent sessions are 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
  2. Eliminate Exam Anxiety: 3 sessions $800. The initial session is for 2 hours – $320, subsequent sessions are 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
  3. Improve Sleep: 3 sessions $800. The initial session is for 2 hours – $320, subsequent sessions are 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
  4. Quit Alcohol Sessions: 4 sessions $1040. The initial session is for 2 hours – $320, subsequent sessions are 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
  5. Quit Smoking Sessions: 2 sessions $640. The initial session is for 2.5 hours – $400, subsequent session is 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
  6. Eliminate a Phobia: 2 sessions $560. The initial session is for 2 hours – $320, subsequent session is 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
  7. Break a bad habit (eg nail biting): 2 sessions $560. The initial session is for 2 hours – $320, subsequent session is 1.5 hours – $240 per session.
