Anxiety Solutions CBT Psychology Practice remains committed to your wellbeing during this difficult and disruptive time!

You are not alone if your stress levels have increased and even skyrocketed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the pandemic has thrust upon the nation (and indeed the world), major stressors including job losses, home schooling, isolation, and illness.

Following strict health guidelines, we can continue offering premium psychological services and doing everything we can to assist you to maintain mental wellness or manage mental illness. Research has shown that psychological support, and evidence-based therapies, are just as effective when offered via tele-health as they are when delivered face to face.

I have been dedicated to treating anxiety and stress for over twenty years and my CBT method is uniquely suited to tele- health.

Health and safety.

Your health and safety, and that of my team, is my highest priority. You can choose face-to-face or telehealth sessions.

Face-to-face sessions:

In our rooms, we are asking individuals to respect social distancing. Wearing a mask is optional, so please let us know if you would like to wear a mask and would like the therapist to do so as well.

Telehealth sessions:

For telehealth sessions, we utilise encrypted sessions through our practice software. When required, we do utilise zoom or Whats App which are APS approved.

Fees:

Our fees remain the same and are noted on the website. The government is now allowing psychologists to charge fees exactly as we have done in the past. At Anxiety Solutions CBT Psychology Practice we have always prioritised our patient’s health and therefore endeavour to offer affordable counselling. We have a range of fees to suit every budget.

Fees are consistent with the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended rates.  Session fees are payable at the time of the consultation.  We accept Mastercard, Visa, Eftpos, AFTERPAY.

We take full payment from you. If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate or private health fund rebate, the onus is on you to claim your rebate.

Bookings.

All bookings are done by our Intake Specialists who are contactable on 02 9328 5899 or  [email protected].

(1) Updated hygiene & sanitation protocols. The health and safety of both our clients and team members is our highest priority. Therefore, we have implemented the following measures at our Edgecliff Clinic.

  • The Clinic reception area will be limited to 3 clients at any one time.
  • If you’ve returned from overseas or interstate within the last 7 days, please do a RAT before entering the Clinic.
  • If you become unwell within 7 days of visiting the Clinic, please let us know.
  • Upon entry to our Clinic, we ask that you please sanitise your hands at the provided station.
  • If you utilise the bathroom, sanitising wipes are available for you to wipe down whatever you touch including the door handles.
  • Please observe the following hygienic practices, as recommended by the World Health Organization:
    • Avoid coughing/sneezing around others. If necessary, cover your mouth with your elbow (or into a tissue, to be immediately disposed of), as droplets that are exhaled can spread viruses.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, to decrease the risk of contracting the virus from contaminated surfaces.
    • Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
    • Regularly clean your hands with hand sanitiser (or soap and water where applicable) to kill any viruses picked up on your hands.
  • Our cleaning staff have implemented additional sanitary measures. All contact surfaces and fixtures are continuously and attentively disinfected. All practice rooms and surfaces are wiped down before and after every client attends the practice, as well as sprayed with disinfectant.
  • All payment terminals are being sanitised after each use. Please use cashless transactions where possible.

We will continue to take all the required precautions and continue to closely follow the advice from the World Health Organization and the Australian Government. We’ll keep you updated with any changes that our practice may need to make during this difficult time.

(2) Individuals who qualify for bulk billing include those on a Centrelink health card or receive a disability pension. We are mindful of the economic crisis and will take financial hardship into account. Please get in touch and Lisa will take you through your options.

(3) Telehealth encrypted sessions through our practice software Power Diary. Power Diary’s Telehealth functionality is a peer-to-peer connection and is encrypted end-to-end. Power Diary creates secure Telehealth ‘rooms’ for each client, along with a special key to access the room. This special key/link is unique to each client and will always remain the same. Clients will receive an email on the day of their appointment with the telehealth link as well as an SMS.

(4) Zoom is an easy to use online video conferencing tool. You can access your session by dialling in from your phone, in a web browser, or by using the Zoom app (recommended). If you are new to Zoom, we will help you through the entire process, including providing all the details of how to access your session – and providing all the support you need to make it a successful session for you.

We remain committed to your wellbeing.
